Would not recommend these windows. First, they didn't send one window and one sliding door with the original order that was late. Second, the door and a window are defective. Months later we're STILL WAITING FOR REPLACEMENTS. Not happy. Only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is we are happy to have triple pane.
Not good windows at all! This is what they look like every winter (see photos). I called Thermo Tech our first year in the brand new house and informed them about this issue and that is when they said, oh well you need to run your air exchanger more often. We didn’t have one at the time and it was a new house. We called our builder and they put an air exchanger in. Windows are still horrible, no change whatsoever so that clearly was not the issue. They ice up every winter and you can even feel cold air coming in from outside through the corners, and even radiating in to the house from the glass panes. Buy triple pane windows, or just go with an Andersen or Pella. These are junk!! Have you noticed how very few people have received any replies from the company on here, unless it’s a good rev
BUYER BEWARE! If your contractor suggests Thermo-Tech windows, first, fire the contractor, then call any other window company but Thermo-Tech. We may as well have gone to the bank, grabbed $5,000, lit it on fire, and just put plastic on our open window spaces. These windows are complete junk. I had them over to my house to show them the problem. They blamed the contractor. Said it wasnt their issue. The contractor blamed Thermo-Tech and said I should install an air exchanger. Funny how none of our other windows freeze up, just the ones from Thermo-Tech. Nobody took accountability and we were left with the problem. See attached photos for what we deal with every winter.... Growing up we had Andersons in our house and I never saw moisture on one window... and we didn't have an air exchanger.
Truck driver attempting deliveries have to transit a road clearly posted "no truck traffic" in order to get to the warehouse. Their identified receiving dock door is NOT the receiving dock door. Drivers must proceed to the will call door and hope one of the youngsters working the dock takes time out of their own work to assist the driver. Complete lack of professionalism from a delivery truck drivers perspective.
We installed 30 ThermoTech crankout windows when we built our home 28 years ago. Many are large (36 X 50). We have replaced about 6 panes because of fogging, two cranks have come loose in strong wind. Snap-in screens have popped out in strong direct wind. The rest look and work fine. We used six 7' tall ThermoTechs in our business building in town. Great quality product. Will buy again.
