This place is extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. I came to pick up my package, and while the employee went to the back, she sent her son to stand at the register and watch me. He didn’t speak, didn’t help—just stared at me the entire time like I was doing something wrong. Completely inappropriate. Mark, I see you replying under reviews saying you’ll “do better.” I wish I had actually read those before sending my packages here, because clearly nothing has changed. People have been leaving reviews for YEARS about profiling, and your staff is still doing it to this day. And let’s be clear—it’s not just happening to Black customers. I saw reviews from white customers saying the same thing. So this is a pattern in your business, not a one-off situation. Your business practices of pr
Easily the best hardware store in the St. Cloud area . I’ve been shopping here for well over 20 years and I consider it the only actual hardware store in town. If you need pieces and parts good chance they have it. Staff has always been knowledgeable and helpful.
1st of all, Im all about supporting local business and not ordering from the big giants for things, so I tried going to this Handymans Hardware store for a small part for my water heater. I called the store during the day to find out if they had the part. 1st person to answer the phone said he was going to go look and then hung up on me. Called back, got same rep and he then put me on "hold" while he said he was going to go look. Gave him the exact part I was looking for. After a couple minutes, someone else picked up the line and I told him the 1st representative was checking to see if they had the part. Gave this 2nd representative the exact part I was looking for and he repeated it back to me and said yes, we have them. I rushed over to this store to make it by their closing time of 5
Staff who really know their stuff and a good selection that you don't find at most hardware stores.
This place was once fantastic, but it has gone downhill significantly. Prices are high, and some of the staff struggle to meet even basic needs. For example, I went in to have paint matched, but they provided the wrong color. I had to return five times, and they still couldn’t get it right, which should never have happened. The repeated mistakes showed a lack of attention and care from their side. With such high prices and service issues, you’re better off going to Home Depot or Runnings. If you’re willing to pay more, you may encounter staff who can’t even match paint correctly.
