SMS / Messaging Policy

This policy explains how Share a Biz LLC ("Share a Biz," "we," "us") uses text messages (SMS) to deliver referrals between local service businesses and the customers those businesses choose to refer.
1. Who sends messages and why
Share a Biz sends text messages to customers when a business that is already working with the customer refers them to another local business through our platform. The text delivers the referral and any discount link the receiving business has set up. Messages may include the name of the referring business, the name of the receiving business, and a link to claim the referral or discount.
2. How consent is obtained
Share a Biz does not text customers on its own. A text is only sent after the referring business confirms — using a consent checkbox in our platform — that they have the customer's permission to contact them about the referral. We log which business confirmed consent and the time it was confirmed.
Businesses using Share a Biz agree to only confirm consent for customers who have actually given them permission to share their contact information for this purpose.
3. Message frequency
Messages are transactional and infrequent. A customer typically receives a one-time referral text per referral. Share a Biz does not send recurring marketing or promotional text campaigns.
4. Opt-out (STOP) and help (HELP)
You can opt out of Share a Biz text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. Once you reply STOP, your number is added to our opt-out list and our platform will block any further referral texts to that number — including referrals from other businesses on our platform.

5. Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Share a Biz is not responsible for charges from your wireless carrier.
6. Carriers and delivery
We make commercially reasonable efforts to deliver messages, but message delivery is not guaranteed. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
7. Privacy
Phone numbers and message content are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell phone numbers, and we do not share them with third parties for their own marketing.
